Wydad defeated Zamalek by three goals in the African Champions League.

After a lot of pressing, the Egyptian Zamalek scored its first goal, through Ahmed Sayed Zizou, who shot strongly, taking advantage of the lack of coverage, to shake the nets of goalkeeper Ahmed Reda Al-Tagnaouti, in a confrontation that the Ragragi battalion returned to move in to confuse accounts. Despite the presence of El Wench, who acted as a barrier in front of the Oval team's assault, goalkeeper Abu Jabal suffered greatly from Wydad's pressure.

Wydad, who had more than 40,000 people in the bleachers, tried to tie the game, and Ayman Al-Hassouni came close to scoring in the 18th minute, but his effort from within the penalty area was stopped by Zamalek goalkeeper Mohamed Abu Jabal.

After a bad remove from Tunisia's Hamza Mathlouthi was exploited by Zouhair Motarji, who hit the net with a superb shot, Wydad's pressure resulted in the equalizing goal in the 27th minute.

Wydad's pressure continued, as Mbenza Ji, a Congolese player, hit a close-range shot in the 35th minute, which was saved by Abu Jabal, who then made a mistake in the save two minutes later. After a cross pass from a corner kick, defender Amin Farhan scored the second goal for the hosts.

Patrice Carteron, a Frenchman, pushed for multiple attacking substitutions as Zamalek pressed for an equalizer.

Following a counter-attack and a through pass from the Libyan alternative, Moayyad Al-Lafi, to Jebran, who settled the ball in the far corner of the goal, Wydad succeeded in adding the third goal two minutes before the end, following a counter-attack and a through pass from the Libyan alternative, Moayyad Al-Lafi, to Jebran, who settled the ball in the far corner of the goal.
