As much as love is rare

one can feel it only through a stare

One can feel it without even being aware

Not understanding the blushing, the nonsense, and the heart snare!

Such a tragedy never to experience love

To deny and tie it with taboos around

Good or bad, it’s pure and it’s there

And it’ll find you whether you avoid it or dare

I will not let you stain my pages of longing

Thwart me romanticising my thoughts and projecting my fantasies

Nor will I stop writing about its topic

No! Even in my shyness, I will not be unfair!
