Palestine needs your words

Updated: Oct 7, 2021

“Words are singularly the most powerful force available to humanity. We can choose to use this force constructively with words of encouragement, or destructively use words of despair. Words have energy and power with the ability to help, heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humiliate and to humble” said the author Yehuda Berg.

Our words wield a life-changing within them that cannot be denied. They can destroy and create lives by their ability to quickly take root in our minds. Their meaning crystallizes perceptions that shape our thoughts and beliefs, conduct our behavior and attitudes, and eventually create our world. And this power comes into play when defining our reality that is influenced by each word we used and received from others.

And as a writer, I am more aware of this power and how words can be my weapon to fight with. Words are very effective while facing and fighting against injustice, discrimination, violence, unfairness, oppression, Zionism, terrorism, and crimes when they are chosen mindfully and carefully because of their psychological ability to evoke emotions and consequently bring about action.

And one of the heartbreaking events happening nowadays is the genocide and the oppression caused by Israel in Palestine. And what seems to be taking place in Palestine only went further to take different forms, now we see the application of digital oppression on the social media platforms blinding the public, silencing the Palestinians by blocking their accounts and using algorithms. A words’ battle is taking place to tell stories that are not aligned with the truth, with the history of both Palestine and Israel. How this all is happening?

The media are playing a very big role in directing people’s reactions towards the oppression Palestinians suffer from, for more than 70 years. Israel proved how smart it is by using words to build a good image outside, to victimize itself, to justify its daily crimes, political oppression, and military violence so that today, people are calling attacking kids and women by airstrikes self-defense.

Israel is using on a daily basis all its power to promote its well-planned and detailed propaganda and media, by all its type, is an efficient tool to influence public opinion; and words are the major element in the plan.

The Israeli propaganda contains specific words calling for peace and humanity, targeting the young generations, the future, by their words to implement acceptance and sympathy in their psychologically fertile minds.

And in order to destroy their propaganda and reveal the truth, we can make good use of our words to open the public’s eyes, to tell the true story of the Israeli colonization, and to give justice eventually to the Palestinian.

The Palestinian cause is not Arabs’ or Muslims’ but humans’ case. As human we are all our responsibility for the application of human rights every human on earth, we are all responsible towards Palestinians and every population living under raped rights, we are all responsible towards the injustice and the oppression taking place in many places today in the world and we all must fight and stand and call for every human’s right.

Social media platforms are the perfect place to be the paper showing our words and sharing them with the world, to report the truth and tell the history of Palestine and preserve it, the birth of Israel, and the colonization terrorism during years and years and years. Palestine today needs your words today more than any time, to speak for its kids, women, men, Qods, olive trees, smoky sky, bombed earth, and shedded blood.

NOW IT’S THE TIME FOR EACH OF US TO USE ITS WORD TO BUILD AND CREATE A BETTER WORLD AND FACE ALL THE DECEIVING PROPAGANDAS THAT ARE DESTROYING THE WORLD AND KILLING HUMANITY, NOW IT’S THE TIME TO SPEAK AND OPEN EACH OTHER’S EYES AND CALL FOR A FREE PALESTINE, FOR A FREE HUMANITY. AND REMEMBER, WORDS OF TODAY BUILD THE WORLD OF TOMORROW.
